Amlodipress
UBSAAmlodipress contains amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker that lowers blood pressure by relaxing and widening blood vessels. This improves blood circulation, reduces the workload on the heart, and helps prevent complications associated with hypertension, such as heart attack and stroke. It is also effective in preventing and treating chronic stable angina and vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina. Amlodipress is intended for once-daily oral administration and may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications.
Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Amlodipine (as amlodipine besylate) Inactive Ingredients: May include lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium hydrogen phosphate, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, and other excipients (may vary by manufacturer and strength).
Indications
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Management of chronic stable angina. Treatment of vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina. Helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications associated with uncontrolled hypertension.
Precautions
Take exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Do not stop taking the medication without medical advice. Use with caution in patients with severe liver impairment. May cause dizziness, headache, flushing, fatigue, or ankle swelling, especially at the start of treatment. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption, as it may increase the blood pressure-lowering effect. Inform your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
