Dicloftil®
FarmigeaDicloftil® (Diclofenac Sodium 0.1%) is a preservative-free ophthalmic solution formulated in 30 single-dose (monodose) containers for safe and convenient use. Diclofenac sodium inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis responsible for pain, inflammation, and swelling. It helps relieve postoperative ocular inflammation, reduces pain following ophthalmic procedures, and assists in preventing intraoperative miosis during cataract surgery. The preservative-free monodose presentation minimizes the risk of contamination and is suitable for patients with sensitive eyes.
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Diclofenac Sodium 0.1% w/v (1 mg/mL). Presentation: Sterile, preservative-free ophthalmic solution in 30 single-dose (monodose) containers. Inactive ingredients: Purified water, buffering agents, tonicity-adjusting agents, and pH adjusters (may vary depending on the manufacturer).
Indications
Treatment of postoperative ocular inflammation following cataract and other ophthalmic surgeries. Relief of ocular pain and inflammation. Prevention of intraoperative miosis during cataract surgery. Management of non-infectious inflammatory eye conditions, as directed by a healthcare professional.
Precautions
For ophthalmic use only. Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to diclofenac, other NSAIDs, or any component of the formulation. Avoid touching the tip of the monodose container to the eye or any surface to prevent contamination. Remove contact lenses before use unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional. Use with caution in patients with bleeding disorders or those receiving anticoagulant therapy. Discontinue use if severe irritation, allergic reactions, or worsening symptoms occur. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk and under medical supervision. Discard each monodose container immediately after use.
