EVOLUX
SifiEVOLUX is a single-piece, hydrophobic acrylic intraocular lens preloaded in a disposable injector for efficient implantation during cataract surgery. It features an aspheric anterior surface with patented optics that extend the depth of focus, improving intermediate vision while preserving high-quality distance vision. The lens incorporates an ultraviolet (UV) light-absorbing chromophore and is intended for implantation in the capsular bag to replace the natural crystalline lens in adults with aphakia following cataract extraction.
Ingredients
Hydrophobic acrylic copolymer. 2-Ethoxyethyl methacrylate (EOEMA). Lauryl methacrylate (LMA). Hydroxyphenyl triazine (HPT) ultraviolet (UV) absorber. Refractive index: 1.48 at 35°C
Indications
Primary implantation for visual correction of aphakia in adult patients following cataract surgery. Designed to improve intermediate vision by extending the depth of focus. Provides distance vision comparable to a standard monofocal intraocular lens. Intended for implantation within the capsular bag.
Precautions
For implantation by qualified ophthalmic surgeons only. Single-use device; do not reuse or re-sterilize. Do not use if the package is damaged, opened, or expired. Contact lens wearers should discontinue lens wear before preoperative measurements. Avoid using medicated balanced saline solution (BSS) with the product. Handle the preloaded system carefully to prevent damage to the lens or haptics. Store at room temperature and use immediately after opening the sterile package. The lens must be implanted within the capsular bag.
