Cantab Plus® 16 mg/12.5 mg Tablets
NobelCantab Plus® 16 mg/12.5 mg combines the angiotensin II receptor blocker (candesartan cilexetil) with the thiazide diuretic (hydrochlorothiazide) to provide complementary blood pressure reduction. Candesartan relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II receptors, while hydrochlorothiazide increases the excretion of sodium and water, helping lower blood pressure. The combination provides effective 24-hour blood pressure control with once-daily dosing.
Ingredients
Candesartan cilexetil 16 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, maize starch, macrogol, hydroxypropyl cellulose, croscarmellose calcium, magnesium stearate, and yellow iron oxide (E172).
Indications
Indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with either candesartan cilexetil or hydrochlorothiazide.
Precautions
Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, hepatic impairment, volume or sodium depletion, electrolyte imbalance, diabetes, gout, heart disease, or renal artery stenosis. Monitor renal function, serum potassium, sodium, creatinine, and uric acid during treatment. Avoid use during pregnancy (especially the 2nd and 3rd trimesters) and breastfeeding. May cause dizziness; caution when driving or operating machinery.
