VORAZYR 200 mg (Voriconazole)
VemVORAZYR contains voriconazole, a second-generation triazole antifungal that inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis by blocking the fungal cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme (14α-demethylase). This disrupts fungal cell membrane formation, resulting in potent antifungal activity. It is indicated for the treatment of life-threatening fungal infections such as invasive aspergillosis, candidemia, fluconazole-resistant Candida infections, and infections caused by Scedosporium and Fusarium species. It is administered by intravenous infusion after reconstitution and dilution.

Indications
VORAZYR 200 mg is indicated for: Invasive aspergillosis Candidemia in non-neutropenic patients Serious invasive fluconazole-resistant Candida infections, including Candida krusei Serious fungal infections caused by Scedosporium spp. Serious fungal infections caused by Fusarium spp. Prophylaxis of invasive fungal infections in high-risk hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipients
Precautions
For intravenous infusion only after proper reconstitution and dilution. Monitor liver function, renal function, and serum electrolytes before and during treatment. Correct hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia, and hypocalcemia before initiating therapy. Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or renal dysfunction. Voriconazole has numerous drug interactions (including cyclosporine, tacrolimus, warfarin, rifampicin, carbamazepine, and phenytoin); review concomitant medications carefully. Patients may experience visual disturbances or photosensitivity; advise caution when driving or operating machinery. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Discontinue treatment if severe hypersensitivity, serious skin reactions, or significant liver toxicity develops.
