VASPARIN 25,000 IU/5 mL (Heparin Sodium)
VemVASPARIN contains Heparin Sodium, an anticoagulant that enhances the activity of antithrombin III, leading to the inactivation of thrombin (Factor IIa) and Factor Xa, thereby preventing the formation and extension of blood clots. It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), acute coronary syndromes, and for maintaining anticoagulation during hemodialysis, cardiac surgery, and other extracorporeal circulation procedures. Because of its rapid onset of action, heparin is widely used in emergency and inpatient settings.

Indications
VASPARIN is indicated for: Prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE). Prevention of thromboembolic complications in atrial fibrillation. Management of acute coronary syndromes, including unstable angina and myocardial infarction. Prevention of clotting during hemodialysis, cardiopulmonary bypass, and other extracorporeal circulation procedures. Prevention of postoperative venous thromboembolism in high-risk patients.
Precautions
Administer only under medical supervision with regular monitoring of activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) or other coagulation parameters as appropriate. Contraindicated in patients with active major bleeding, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), or severe bleeding disorders. Monitor platelet counts regularly to detect HIT. Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, recent surgery, uncontrolled hypertension, or peptic ulcer disease. Concomitant use with antiplatelet agents, NSAIDs, or other anticoagulants increases the risk of bleeding. Avoid intramuscular injections during heparin therapy because of the risk of hematoma. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only when clinically indicated and under physician supervision.
